2019 Freshman Year

Ahhhhhhh our first location, 2131 Penn Ave. North located in the Willard-Hay neighborhood. This is where we started our humble beginnings, Can you believe this lot sat vacant for 15 years?! To get started we tested the soil at the UofM and learned that its PH value was high and that we were going to grow on some good soil. We contributed our own money and also partnered with Appetite for Change to start this market garden. Our focus this year was to grow produce, sell at the local farmers market and learn more about our neighbors and the community of growers.
